Deadliest Catch Heartbreak
Last night on the “Deadliest Catch,” we got to see the final days of Captain Phil Harris. If you could sit through the whole thing (which I couldn’t), you got to see how the events initially report this past winter unfolded. In summary, Phil suffered a stroke as he and his crew were offloading crabs from his boat in late January after which he was transferred to a local hospital and then flown to Anchorage to a facility more suited to his needs. Though he initially showed signs of recovery and the doctors seemed hopefully that he would pull through, Phil eventually succumbed to his injuries and passed away on February 10.
Though it was extremely sad to watch, it was nice to see that his sons were with him to the very end.
RIP Captain Phil.
