May - the Month for Octogenarians
So first there was Betty White bringing down the house on SNL. Seriously, I stopped watching SNL years ago because it just wasn’t even close to being funny anymore. I wonder sometimes why it hasn’t been canceled. It can be just downright painful to watch. And then Betty White comes along with an awesome opening monologue and with some MacGruber and a skit about muffins, and I remember just how good it can be. I guess it also helped that it was a reunion of sorts for some of the funniest SNL female cast members from the last decade with the return of the likes of Amy Poehler, Maya Rudolph, and Tiny Fey.
Then, comes along 80 year old, Janey Cutler on Britian’s Got Talent showing us her amazing pipes. Check her out singing Edith Piaf’s classic, No Regrets. She’s got some lungs on her. Go (great) Grandma!
