        <p>The New  Prince William Jaguars AAU Basketball Team </p>

<p>The Prince William Jaguars AAU Basketball Team is part of the Prince William County Sports Athletic Organization, Inc. under the tax-exempt, non-profit 501-c3  organization which was formed under Amateur Athletic Union (AAU).&nbsp; </p>

<p><br />
PURPOSE</p>

<p>The Prince William Jaguars AAU Basketball Team emphasizes the importance of continuing education, teamwork and good sportsmanship.&nbsp; We are looking to bring athletes into the program who understands the level of commitment and dedication needed to excel both on and off the court. </p>

<p><br />
The Prince William Jaguars AAU Basketball Team will participate in major tournaments that attract the best competition.&nbsp; Our players will be introduced to concepts that will equip them with the knowledge, skill and ability to compete at a high level. The Prince William Jaguars will also strive to increase our players&#8217; exposure, making it possible for recruiters to see and evaluate their talent.&nbsp; </p>

We are committed to providing the opportunity for our players to earn a scholarship to continue their education while trying to reach their full basketball potential. The Prince William Jaguars AAU Basketball Organization, Inc consisting of teams in the 9 years old and under through 15 years old and under group teaching and developing fundamental basketball skills in a competitive atmosphere and help prepare the kids for future involvement in Prince William County’s middle school and high school basketball programs.</p>

<p>*To develop self-esteem, self-confidence, and respect for self and others.<br />
*To encourage scholarship, teamwork and the enhancement of athletic ability.<br />
*To provide enrichment experiences through group dynamics, clinics and workshops.<br />
*To provide opportunities to interact with role models and community leaders for Prince William County for insight and guidance on how to realize career goals.<br />
*To provide consistent opportunities for participants to excel academically and athletically to qualify and compete for scholarships.</p>

<p>*On and off court, Prince William Jaguar AAU Basketball Team believe in providing leadership training and enrichment experiences through team play, basketball camps and basketball clinics.&nbsp; Through youth development the team believes in strong academic foundation, good character, respect, hard work, self determination and loyalty are the building blocks for success in life.</p>

<p>HISTORY</p>

<p>Founded in 1985, The Prince William Basketball Committee (PWBC) formed a travel basketball team for the area. After a few years, the team was named the Prince William Pacers. In 2004, we expanded our program to include girl’s teams. In the 2005-2006 season, the merger of the Prince William Pacers and the Prince William Virginians took place to form The Prince William County Basketball Committee. In 2008, the Prince William County Basketball Committee changed their name and reorganized it&#8217;s basketball organization and programs to The Prince William County Sports Athletic organization, Inc. (PWCSAO).&nbsp; Also in 2009, The Prince William Pacers changed their name to the Prince William Jaguars AAU Boys Basketball Team and formed the new Prince William Jaguars Girls AAU Basketball Team. </p>



<p>This Basketball Program falls under the authority of the Virginia Amateur Athletic Union (AAU) Association located in Richmond, Virginia. We have had several teams place at the State and National levels.&nbsp; This organization promised that this organization will  stimulate, improve opportunities for amateur boys and girls basketball competition, and to promote and develop leadership, sportsmanship, fitness, and athletic excelence in Prince William County, Virginia.&nbsp;  The Prince William Jaguar will start their season in 2009-2010 and beyond. </p>

AAU Involvement</p>

<p>The Prince William Sports Athletic Organization, Inc./AAU Basketball Association was registered, 501(c) (3) non-profit, all-volunteer, organization which promotes youth basketball in the Prince William County area. The Prince William County Sports Athletic Organization, Inc. is members of the National Amateur Athletic Union (AAU) which has supported a variety of amateur sports since 1875. Under the direction of its Executive Board, the Prince William County Sports Athletic Organization, Inc. provide an opportunity for higher level sports programs for its athletes and promotes opportunities for our area youth to develop and grow their character, leadership, mental and physical fitness capabilities. Through participation in AAU, we help young athletes achieve their dreams as valued citizens in their communities. </p>

        <p>Gainesville District VFD Santa Schedule</p>

<p>The Gainesville District Volunteer Fire Department and Santa have once again teamed up to visit the Haymarket and Gainesville neighborhoods. </p>

<p>Santa will be driven around on the fire engine on Friday and Saturday nights, December 11, 12 and 17, 18 between the hours of 6 and 9 PM weather permitting.</p>

<p>Due to the limited time Santa has to visit and the high number of streets in the area, we will only be driving on main streets.&nbsp; Listen for the siren and air horns and you’ll know Santa is near.&nbsp; Please keep children on the sidewalks for their safety. </p>

        <p>The PWC Sports Athletic Organization, Inc.</p>

<p>The PWC Sports Athletic Organization, Inc. is a tax-exempt, non-profit 501-c3 organization formed under Amateur Athletic Union (AAU). Starting 2010, boys and girls, age 9 years old through 18 years old have the opportunity to try out for our baseball, cross country, football, gymnastic, hockey, soccer, tennis, track and field, volleyball, weightlifting, golf and wrestling. This year in January 2009, the PWC Sports Athletic Organization, Inc. formed their AAU Basketball Team known as the Prince William Jaguar AAU Boys Basketball Team and the Prince William Lady Jaguar AAU Girls Basketball Team. The Prince William Jaguar AAU Basketball team will provide a wonderful opportunity for players to advance athletic skills by playing the top caliber players in AAU basketball tournament games across the state and region. </p>

PURPOSE<br />
The PWC Sports Athletic Organization Inc provides volunteer coaches, administrative staff, and parents are committed to spiritual and moral growth of boys and girls, creating an environment through the discipline of AAU sports in Prince William County whereby they can develop into young men and young women who are good citizens, and role models in their family, schools and community.</p>

<p>The PWC Sports Athletic Organization, Inc. was organized in response to the challenge to increase opportunities for young men and young women to develop teamwork, self-confidence and self-esteem, through structured athletic activities. This organization encourages our youth to stay in school by stressing the link between class work and home work, studying, and career and educational achievement. We strive to enhance the schools and community’s efforts to meet the social and educational needs for our youth in Prince William County, Virginia.</p>

<p>The PWC Sports Athletic Organization, Inc., primary support comes from family, friends and the community. The parents/guardians have witnessed firsthand the benefits of the program, and are among our strongest supporters. It is not unusual for them to travel long distances, taking participants to practice sessions and to games.</p>

<p>ATTENTION FOR VOLUNTEER COACHES FOR DIFFERENT TEAM SPORTS</p>

<p>Need Coaches for Prince William Jaguar AAU Boys Basketball Team and the Prince William Lady Jaguar Girls Basketball Team for the upcoming fall season of 2009.</p>

<p>The Prince William AAU Football Team- We are now looking for coaches, assistant coaches, and Director of Football operation, Baseball operation, Soccer operation ,to help form a team for the fall of 2010.</p>

<p>The Prince William Lady Jaguars AAU Girls Basketball Team need more girls to join the team for 9U through 15U. </p>

<p>We are recruiting more volunteer coaches and Assistant Coaches for the Prince William Lady Jaguars AAU Girls AAU Basketball Team and the Prince William Jaguar Boys AAU Basketball Team. If you are interested please contact us. </p>

<p>Experienced Basketball players inside or outside Prince William County are welcome.</p>
