This year’s cookout will honor Senator George Barker, Delegate Paul Nichols, and Delegate Jackson Miller for their efforts to improve the graffiti abatement process. The Council will also recognize and celebrate the Adopt-A-Spot volunteers, Clean Shopping Center surveyors, Graffiti Removers/Spotters, and the Prince William County Litter Crew & Landfill, as well as present the 2008-‘09 Clean Shopping Center Awards.
About Prince William Clean Community Council
The Prince William Clean Community Council, an affiliate of Keep America Beautiful, Inc., is a nonprofit organization dedicated to a cleaner Prince William County environment through litter prevention, environmental education, and community involvement. With the full support of County government and the volunteer involvement of residents and businesses, the program is a community partnership for a cleaner Prince William County environment.
Organized in 1982 as a simple spring cleanup effort, the founding members of the Prince William Clean Community Council quickly recognized the importance of education to long-term success. The program is now a year-round comprehensive program, including community involvement, litter and graffiti prevention and environmental education.
PWCCC is a recognized leader within this community and the litter prevention field. The Council is listed on Renew America’s prestigious Environmental Success Directory as a model environmental program. In addition, numerous awards from trade organizations have identified our local program as the best of its kind in Virginia, and among the very best in the world.

We are recruiting more volunteer coaches and Assistant Coaches for the Prince William Lady Jaguars AAU Girls AAU Basketball Team and the Prince William Jaguar Boys AAU Basketball Team. If you are interested please contact us.

This company really sucks. They have towed my sons car from his own neighborhood on numerous occasions. Simply because their was no parking hang tag on the mirror. He lives w/me, I am a home owner. They charge 125.00 each time to get his car back. They are sneaky and come in neighborhoods late at night when everyone is sleeping. Know I hear they over charged people. They may also be looking for a class action law suit from angry customers who have been wronged.

I myself didn’t know Jean, but my daughter remembers Jean in later years being the faithful volunteer at Enterprise Elementary. My granddaughter and Sarah were there at the same time, and my daughter said, let the hint of a need for a volunteer be mentioned, and Jean was there. The same through the years of middle school and at Hylton.
My daughters memories alone tell me Jean was always a step up to the plate participant in this community, and Lindendale is going to sorely miss her.

Commonwealth’s Attorney Paul Ebert said Monday that Jean C. Smith, 39, and her son James Smith, 19, were killed during an attempted burglary at their home on Langford Court on Friday afternoon.
The 17-year-old, who lives in the neighborhood, has been charged with two counts of first-degree murder. The teen’s girlfriend, 22-year-old Jacqueline Munoz, has been charged with obstruction of justice for allegedly providing him an alibi, police said.
Ebert said he is seeking to have the murder charges upgraded to capital murder. But he is unable to seek the death penalty due to a Supreme Court ruling banning capital punishment for juveniles.
Police provided a chilling account of what happened in the Smith home on Friday afternoon.
