Gar-Field at Potomac
The Panthers threatened to score on their second consecutive possession when De’Vonte Piggott stripped the ball from Sean Andrews who made a 24-yard reception.
Piggott returned the ball to the Gar-Field 37 before Potomac coach Tony Lilly was assessed an unsportsmanlike penalty for 15 yards, moving the ball to the Panther 47 with just 4:33 left.

Potomac marched from its own 20 yard line to Gar-Field’s 18.
Then DeAirius Thomas found Sean Andrews in the end zone for an 18-yard score with 9:23 left in the game.
The Panthers have drawn to within 14 points, trailing the Indians 27-13.

The Indians open the final quarter with a 56-yard strike from Aaron Jackson to De’Vonte Piggott.
With 11:49 remaining, Gar-Field is up 27-6 after Ayala’s PAT.

After three periods, Gar-Field leads 20-6.

Despite going to fourth down in Potomac territory, Gar-Field handed the ball to Bryce Miller who streaked 25 yards to the end zone.
With Anthony Ayala’s PAT, the Indians are up 20-6 with just less than three minutes in the third quarter.

Potomac could not capitalize on the field position, committing penalties that took them too far for even a field goal attempt.
Gar-Field then marched to the Potomac 32 with 4:12 left in the third quarter.

The Panthers recovered a fumble on the second half opening kick at the Indian 35 and quickly reached the 25 on an 11-yard run by Desmond Spates.

Potomac quarterback DeAirius Thomas mercifully ended the first half by taking a knee with 1.1 seconds on the clock.
The play wrapped up a half that lasted more than an hour and a half.
Gar-Field enters the locker room with a 13-6 lead.

After making his third long reception of the game, wideout John Portee was slow to get up. He stretched for extra yards on a 23-yard catch in the second quarter when he was hit and landed awkwardly.
Portee left the field under his own power after officials checked him.

With less than eight minutes to go in the first half, the Potomac home scoreboard inexplicably turned off and the players on both teams have retreated to their respective sidelines.
No word on when the game will resume.

Potomac’s Desmond Spates scored on a five-yard run after Maurice Cannon returned a failed Gar-Field field goal attempt.
The Panther point after attempt failed, leaving the score tied 6-6.

The Indians scored with 2:39 left in the first quarter on a one-yard keeper by quarterback Aaron Jackson.
