Osbourn Park-Battlefield

Battlefield won 32-27. Gary Jackson returned the kickoff back for a touchdown.

Battlefield has scored by taking a loose ball into the end zone.
It is 32-21 after the extra point was missed.


Revell has thrown a touchdown pass to Danny Drzal.
Drzal open and took it in from 15 yards.
With the extra point, it is 26-21 Battlefield with 15 seconds to go.
This is definitely a classic. But there is still time remaining.

Receiver Blaine Mason caught the ball at the 15 on third and 11.
23 seconds remain and the Bobcats have called timeout.

The Bobcats recovered the onside kick. It is first and 10 Battlefield from the 34.
Chris Wendle got his hands on the kick.
There is 1:22 left and the Bobcats are at the 30.

Battlefield scored to make it 21-19. But the two-point conversion attempt, a run by Nagee Jackson was denied.
Osbourn Park leads by two with 1:56 left.

Battlefield is at the Osbourn Park 17. On second and nine, Cedric Agyeman ran to the 11.
It is third and three.

Terrill took the ball from center, cut to his left and took off for a 79-yard touchdown.
The extra point from Max Jones gives the Yellow Jackets a 21-13 lead.
The OP stands is full of people clapping. The big yellow flag is waving and there is a chant of “OP, OP” as the Yellow Jackets are about to kick off with 7:31 remaining.

Another Battlefield drive has stalled.
Revell threw an interception in the end zone.
Patrick Smith made the play by catching a pass over his head before falling back to the ground.
Osbourn Park is back on offense with 8:24 remaining.

14-13 Osbourn Park after three.
The yellow flag waves on the Osbourn Park sideline and they have their mascot over there as well.
The Battlefield cheerleaders are dancing to try to pump up their fans.
It’s been somewhat of a defensive battle, but each team has made plays so far.
We are set up for a great fourth quarter.

Revell returned, then threw an interception.
Osbourn Park’s Jeff LaScola has just made his second big play of the day.
He got the pick after recovering an earlier fumble.
We have less than a minute to go in the third quarter.

The Bobcats face second and 14 from the Osbourn Park 25.
Revell has left the game after the officials determined he had blood on his uniform.
Backup quarterback Keith Pederson is directing the offense for the time being.
And now Battlefield has been called for another false start penalty.
It is second and 19 from the 30.

Osbourn Park took its first possession of the second half to score and take the lead.
Quarterback Dominique Terrill was at first unable to find an open receiver, then completed a 22-yard touchdown pass to Travis Marion in the back left corner of the end zone.
The extra point gives Osbourn Park a 14-13 lead with 9:25 left in the third quarter.


It is halftime at Battlefield with the Bobcats leading 13-7.
We have been treated to a great performance by the Battlefield marching band.
And it has been announced that Lake Braddock is leading W.T. Woodson 17-0 in the Northern Region final.
The winner of this game meets the winner of that game next week.
Right now we are waiting for the second half to begin.

Battlefield has scored 45 seconds left before halftime.
Revell found Blaine Mason cutting inside for a 30-yard touchdown.
Kicker Chris Martin missed the extra point, so it’s 13-7 Battlefield.


The turnover cost Battlefield a touchdown.
On first down, quarterback Dominique Terrill lost 15 yards after fumbling a snap.
But he redeemed himself a short while later by throwing a 24-yard touchdown pass to Travis Marion, who made a diving catch in the back of the end zone.
With the extra point, the game is tied 7-7 with 3:41 left in the second quarter.

Battlefield was driving near midfield, but Revell’s pass was high and intercepted by defensive back Josh Ramseur.
He returned the ball inside the Battlefield 20.
The Yellow Jackets are on the move with four minutes left before halftime.

The first quarter is over with Battlefield leading 7-0.
Osbourn Park has just punted and Battlefield takes over first and 10 and its 21-yard line.
The stands have filed up with supporters from both schools in attendance.
There are a good number of people lined up along the chain link fence on the side of the field closest to the entrance.
There was a brief dance by the Battlefield cheerleaders and we are underway in the second quarter.
Running back Nagee Jackson was tackled for a one-yard loss on first down.

Osbourn Park’s defense has held as Battlefield was driving.
The Bobcats went for it on fourth and four from the Osbourn Park 22.
Revell fumbled the snap and Osbourn Park’s Jeff LaScola recovered.
The Yellow Jackets are back on offense and face second and eight from the 26-yard line.

Osbourn Park has punted to Battlefield.
The Yellow Jackets failed to take advantage of good field position and gave the ball back to the Bobcats.
A five-yard run by Revell sets up second and five for Battlefield.
If you’re just tuning it, it is 7-0 Battlefield.

Battlefield scored less than a minute into the game.
A four-yard touchdown run by Nagee Jackson and an extra point have the Bobcats ahead 7-0 with 11:02 left in the first quarter.
The touchdown was set up on a pass completion from quarterback Bo Revell to receiver Blaine Mason, which went for 62 yards to the Osbourn Park four-yard line.
Osbourn Park is beginning its first offensive possession.

Osbourn Park won the toss and deferred to the second half.
So we will see the Bobcats’ offense first.
The kickoff teams are on the field and the music is blaring from the pressbox.
So fasten your seatbelts and we are underway.
The kick is returned to the Battlefield 31.
First and 10 Battlefield.

The Battlefield marching band has taken the field and we are set for the National Anthem.
The Bobcats have emerged and the OP cheerleaders are on the field to welcome the Yellow Jackets.
The OP stands are packed and the Battlefield faithful continues to file into the stadium.

Good afternoon and welcome once again to insidenova.com’s coverage of high school football.
Today’s game is the Northwest Region Division 6 final between the Osbourn Park Yellow Jackets and the Battlefield Bobcats.
We are just less than a half an hour from kickoff.
The crowd is filing in and fans are making their way to their seats.
The Osbourn Park marching band is here and both teams are on the sideline for pregame warmups.
It should be a great game and we look forward to having you with us during today’s game.
