Thanks so much for following along.
I’m Robert Daski. Good night and we’ll see you next week.

But Dukes was dropped on third and long and the Yellow Jackets have punted.
Whitehead has taken the ball to the Osbourn Park 33, but lost a yard on first down.
Under four minutes to go, 20-7 Osbourn.

Osbourn’s commitment to the run has enabled it to take a 13-point lead.
Terrell has run three yards for his second score.
The extra point, though, was no good. It is 20-7 Osbourn with 7:58 left in the fourth.
The drive was 10 plays and 76 yards. All of the plays were runs.
The biggest run was a 15-yard scamper by Keith to the Osbourn Park 40.

The extra point has made it 14-7 Osbourn.
15 seconds remain in the third. The drive covered 80 yards in nine plays.
It finally gives the Osbourn Park fans something to cheer about, though the OP defense deserves credit for keeping the Yellow Jackets within striking distance.

The Osbourn stands are packed and the Osbourn Park stands are filled to capacity as well.
We’ll see you in the second half. Just under four minutes remain before the third quarter.

Osbourn’s offense stalled in its own territory.
The Eagles have just punted. The ball was returned to the OP 38.
But the Yellow Jackets have just been whistled for illegal use of hands.
So it’s first down and 10 on the OP 27.
It seems as if OP’s defense has done a better job containing Terrell. They’ve stuffed him on two running plays before he threw an incompletion on third down.

Prior to the kick, in a show of good will, one of Osbourn Park’s assistant coaches saw Dominique Terrell on the field. He went over to Terrell and hugged him.

Welcome everyone to one of two of the News & Messenger’s Game of the Week.
We have two games to blog for you tonight.
One is Osbourn Park at Osbourn. The other is Battlefield (4-0) at Hylton.
Kickoff at Osbourn is scheduled for 7:30 p.m.
This is a battle between two crosstown rivals. Osbourn (4-0) has enjoyed a lot of success thanks to quarterback Dominique Terrell, who transferred from Osbourn Park prior to the beginning of the season. Osbourn Park (1-2) had a solid defense a year ago and will look to continue its good play on that side of the ball.
If you’ll remember last year’s contest at Osbourn Park, the Yellow Jackets defeated Osbourn 28-26 in a great duke-it-out game. That win snapped Osbourn Park’s five-game losing streak to Osbourn.
But last year’s game is meaningless now that it is a new year.
Osbourn has completed its pre-game warmups and is headed to its locker room.
Osbourn Park remains on the field polishing its offensive sets.
The Osbourn crowd is filing in.
There are some Osbourn Park fans who are here as well.
We’re about 13 minutes away from kickoff.
So stay tuned and we’ll bring you the action.
